SentryPoints Software Supports Homeland Security Exercise
Fort Wayne, IN - SentryPoints, LLC, a Fort Wayne-based company which supplies homeland security and emergency management command and control solutions for local and state governments, participated in the Indiana District 3 Tabletop Exercise for northeast Indiana first responder agencies on October 19, 2006.
The purpose of the exercise was to allow local elected officials and representatives from emergency management agencies; fire, police and health departments; schools; and other local officials to test how their strategic communications and operations plans would work in an emergency. Several scenarios were discussed, including both deliberate and accidental events. SentryPoints software was used to help establish a common operating picture during the exercise. Over 200 people participated in the exercise, which was the first of its kind for the district.
“We were happy to be able to support our local first responders,” said Jason Fisher, Program Development Manager for SentryPoints. “The exercise illustrated the deepening collaboration among our area agencies.”
